How to Brew Alfalfa

Mild, grassy, slightly sweet, hay-like cup.

Native to the Mediterranean region.

Here is how to brew Alfalfa for a clean, full-flavoured cup. One ingredient. Nothing added.

How to Brew Alfalfa

  1. Measure 2g of Alfalfa into your cup or teapot per 250 ml of water.
  2. Heat fresh, filtered water to 100 C.
  3. Pour the water over the Alfalfa and steep for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Strain and serve hot or iced, plain, unsweetened.
  5. It re-brews 1-2 times, so you can steep a second cup from the same Alfalfa.

Tips

  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place, tightly sealed.
  • Iced: Brew at double strength, then pour over ice for a cold Alfalfa.
  • Get more from it: Re-steep the same Alfalfa for a lighter second cup.
