How to Brew Lemon Balm

Bright, sweet lemon-citrus flavour with a hint of mint; softer and less sharp than lemon verbena.

Native to the Mediterranean region and Central Europe; catalogued origin is Europe.

Here is how to brew Lemon Balm for a clean, full-flavoured cup. One ingredient. Nothing added.

How to Brew Lemon Balm

  1. Measure about 2 g of Lemon Balm into your cup or teapot.
  2. Heat fresh, filtered water to 100 C.
  3. Pour the water over the Lemon Balm and infuse for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Strain and serve.
  5. It re-brews 2-3 times, so you can steep a second cup from the same Lemon Balm.
